KIPO carries out overcurrent device protection and coordination evaluation studies using specialist software, such as ETAP and Trimble Amtech.

For each project, we provide a unique fee proposal which can cover the following scope of work as desired;

• Survey to establish the existing breakers, relays and settings used

• Technical review of previous studies carried out

• A short circuit and earth fault study to establish settings

• Time current curves to review Discrimination, Selectivity and Grading

• Use of the breaker manufacturer guidelines

• To provide settings tables for either MV or LV or both

• To provide a technical report with executive summary, time current curve analysis and settings

• To provide project particular solutions unique to suit the requirements

• To give guidance on specialist protection, including protection zone selection
