Gyron

KIPO were appointed to provide a Design Review and Protection co-ordination study for Gyron Data Centre in Farnborough. This was to ensure that the protection system operates as required during fault conditions to minimise the extent of an outage, damage to equipment and possible injury to personnel.

Our services and solutions:

  • Survey of all 11kV cables in terms of manufacturer and status

  • Identification of which cables are discoloured

  • Research around the cause of the discolouration

  • Provided information on the remaining life expectancy of the cables, as well as a review and comment on the cracking of cables

  • Provided a high level report on the condition of the cables and review the cable sizes used

  • Review of 11kV cable’s/ RMUS in terms of fault current withstand

  • Surveyed the entire 11kV and main LV systems in terms of providing a defects schedule and interim observation report

  • Design review of the 11kV and main LV systems

  • Provided a review of the construction issue information, including As Installed Information quality
