Knaresborough Data Centre
We were commissioned to carry out the HV and LV Selectivity Study and Arc Flash study for the Knaresborough Data Centre. The objective was to provide a completed report giving its findings for a short circuit study to comply with BS EN 60909 and the Grading (Selectivity) for the distribution system to the facility. The study provided a list of settings as a result.
For the study, a visual survey was carried out on the existing relays and protection, intended for retention during the works.
Our services and solutions:
The identification of the type and electrical characteristics of the utilities including impedance, and protective device settings serving the HV and LV electrical distribution systems.
Understanding and establishing the incoming fault level
Carrying out the study accordingly the step-down transformers
To work with present relay manufacturers to establish the correct method to set its relays and to provide
an appropriate study with time current curves to suit.
To establish all relay, trip unit types and settings available.
To undertake breaker and relay settings including time current curves for both earth fault and overcurrent at HV and LV.
Arc Flash Study
Review of the UPS used to include type and requirements
ETAP soeware and/or Amtech software
