Lavaca Bay

Lavaca Bay is a north-western extension of the Matagorda Bay system found mostly in Calhoun County, Texas. It is a 7x13.8MWe power generation and liquefaction facility and we were appointed to design and support a power upgrade project.

Our services and solutions:

• Design for 7 x 13.8MWe gas turbines at 13.8kV with 3 x 3MWe steam turbines

• Design for 7MWe feed gas compressors and 7MWe soft starters

• With US grid being at 138kV, we designed it considering step up transformers

• Design for critical UPS systems at N+N, designed in accordance with NFPA and Ansi standards
