KIPO were appointed to complete a discrimination study and electrical design overview using AmTech pro-design suite on the designated 11kV and low voltage electrical distribution system. The objective was to establish existing protection settings to identify if discrimination and cable protection would be achieved on the existing installation and importantly to provide new settings where necessary.

Confirmed cable types, sizes, CPC sizes and lengths used for the input data
Reviewed grouping factors and method of installation for the correct input data into the AmTech model
Confirmed generator switching cause and effect
Reviewed suitability of the existing earthing systems and methods
